Tennis

The Club has four hard-surface tennis courts, one clay court, a backboard, a tennis pavillion with bleachers, and a ball machine available for member play.  All courts are lighted for night time use.  Courts 1-4 are available without a reservation, the clay court requires a reservation and a combination to enter.  More information is below.

Meet our Tennis Professional

 

Brian Howell has been teaching and coaching tennis for 15 years. Having played both high school (Darlington High School, SC) and college tennis (Coker College, SC),  he comes to us after previously working for the Hartsville Recreation Department, Hartsville Country Club, and coaching the Hartsville High School girls' and boys' tennis teams.  He has experience teaching all skill levels and is certified with the United States Professional Tennis Association and the USTA QuickStart program for children.

 

He is also a member of the United States Racquet Stringers Association and can help you maintain your racquet.

Clay Court

 

The clay court requires a reservation and a combination to enter.  Use the link below to receive an automated response with the code:

  • Please brush and line the clay court upon completion of play as a courtesy for the next players

  • The court is watered twice a day and times are posted to the gate

  • To reserve the clay court please call or text the Club Manager at 843-332-9391

Ball Machine

 

A ball machine is available for member use.  Located in the ball house, the small shed next to the tennis pavillion, it requires a combination for access.  Use the link below to receive an automated response with the code:

  • The machine can be plugged-into the outlet under the tennis pavillion and positioned on court 1

  • Please return the balls to the hopper and lock the machine in the ball house when you finish your practice
